A Fábrica Alegre — Children’s Tableware Set Illustration

This project was created for Vista Alegre as part of the brand’s 200th anniversary celebrations. The children’s tableware set is inspired by the illustrated book A Fábrica Alegre, a story that introduces young readers to the magic, history and imagination behind one of Portugal’s most iconic porcelain manufacturers.
The illustrations bring the book’s characters and whimsical universe into the physical world of everyday objects. Vibrant colors, playful shapes and funny textures were designed to spark curiosity and joy at the table, transforming mealtime into a moment of storytelling and discovery. Each piece of the set—plate, bowl and cup—was carefully composed to balance clarity, charm and functionality. The artwork honors Vista Alegre’s heritage while offering a contemporary, child‑friendly visual language that celebrates creativity and tradition.

In history, this factory is not just a workplace; It is also a place full of magic and creativity, and contagious joy, where each object is much more than simple ceramics. And there are those who say that, at night, in this factory, mysterious sounds can be heard.
